Scientists Discover To Upload Knowledge To Your Brain!

In the 1999 the classic science fiction movie "Matrix" the hero, Neo needs to learn martial arts in order to defeat the machines that control humanity. Then he get uploaded martial arts skills into his brain through a cable connected from computer.

The California-based institution analysed electrical signals and patterns within the brain structure of a pilot, then proceeded to transfer that data into the minds of other people who didn’t have the knowledge to fly planes via electrode-embedded head caps which stimulated the correct regions of the brain.
Lead researcher at the Hughes Research Laboratories, Dr. Matthew Phillips and his team of investigators from the Information & System Sciences Laboratory, have used transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in order to improve learning and skill retention. Professional and amateur pilots were used in the experiment.

Dr. Phillips explained, “We measured the brain activity patterns of six commercial and military pilots, and then transmitted these patterns into novice subjects as they learned to pilot an airplane in a realistic flight simulator. We measured the average g-force of the plane during the simulated landing and compared it to control subjects who received a mock brain stimulation.

Dr. Phillips said “Our system is one of the first of its kind. It’s a brain stimulation system,”

“It sounds kind of sci-fi, but there’s large scientific basis for the development of our system”.

“The specific task we were looking at was piloting an aircraft, which requires a synergy of both cognitive and motor performance”.

“When you learn something, your brain physically changes. Connections are made and strengthened in a process called neuroplasticity”.

“It turns out that certain functions of the brain, like speech and memory, are located in very specific regions of the brain, about the size of your pinky.”

He also said, “We were able to take a group of individuals and train them to a similar level.”

“The method relies on physical contact with the scalp – a head-cap through the conductive gel to apply current to the skin”.

“The effects can persist for hours. The effects take days or weeks of practice to consolidate. It’s the same learning mechanism; we’re just amplifying or boosting it”.

“As we discover more about optimizing, personalizing, and adapting brain stimulation protocols, we’ll likely see these technologies become routine in training and classroom environments”.

“It’s possible that brain stimulation could be implemented for classes like drivers’ training, SAT prep, and language learning.”

While scientists may have figured out how to upload knowledge to a brain, a Russian billionaire is working on uploading his brain to a computer.

Phillips was able to describe exactly how the method was able to affect the brain: “When you learn something, your brain physically changes. Connections are made and strengthened in a process called neuro-plasticity. It turns out that certain functions of the brain, like speech and memory, are located in very specific regions of the brain, about the size of your pinky. What our system does is it actually targets those changes to specific regions of the brain as you learn … What we found is [that] brain stimulation seems to be particularly effective at actually improving learning.”
